RH-034 | 8CD | CHRISTINE WALEVSKA | private archive recordings
“the Beauty & the Bow” Christine Walevska has been center stage in the cello world ever since her first international concert appearances at the age of eighteen. Those early triumphs inspired the sort of accolades normally reserved for star performers of mature years. Typical of the tributes was the comment by the Los Angeles music critic Patterson Greene: “She parallels on the cello the singular persuasiveness of Fritz Kreisler on the violin.”
"Dear Music Lovers,
these are among my recorded live concerts which were hidden for years in my collection. Each of these recordings brings back memories, like the Hindemith which I recorded in Frankfurt at 9 AM having a concert the night before playing the Haydn D major Concerto in the South of Germany. My thanks to Rhine Classics team who envisioned this project. I dedicate this release to the memory of my father. Cariñosamente," Christine Walevska (August 15, 2024) Only the first 100 orders will contain the original autograph from the Artist!
